About this Project
The highly experienced design team at our telecoms company has a proven track record of success, having worked on numerous Railway telecoms projects. In support of the FTN & GSM-r Project, our telecoms designers produced comprehensive and accurate scope of work packs that met Network Rail’s exacting design specifications.
Our design deliverable included a line drawing that showed the position of the new works, including the routes, fibre connections, ODF details, joint bays, under track crossings, and distribution cabinets. We also provided a Bill of Quantities and other supporting documentation. Once approved to build, this complete design package was used by Network Rail to contract the construction and installation works.
We were the primary survey and design contractor on the project and completed in the order of 12,000 Km worth of cable and cable route design packs. The data was processed and handed to our team of design engineers, who produced an inclusive design pack in accordance with the appropriate Network Rail specification documents. The design pack comprised separate fibre and copper design drawings, supporting photographs, and associated Bill of Quantities. All documents were then subjected to a rigorous QC process prior to delivery to the client.
We were also engaged to provide extensive design services in support of the GSM-r Fibre Tails Project. This entailed the production of a detailed design pack comprising separate fibre and copper design drawings, supporting photographs, and associated Bill of Quantities. All documents were subjected to a rigorous QC process prior to delivery to the client prior to build.
